WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush said on Thursday he would wait until after he receives a full Iraq progress report in September before making any decisions on the course of U.S. strategy in the war.

“I‘m waiting for ... (Gen.) David Petraeus to come back and give us the report on what he sees,” Bush told a news conference after releasing an interim report showing mixed results in Iraq. He said after the September 15 report he would consult with Congress and the military and “make another decision if need be.”
