Hurricane Isaac nearing coast of southeast Louisiana: NHC

(Reuters) - The center of Hurricane Isaac is nearing the coast of southeast Louisiana and is forecast to reach the coastline during the next few hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in its latest bulletin on Tuesday.

“Some slight strengthening is possible before Isaac makes landfall. Gradual weakening is expected after landfall occurs,” the Miami-based center said.
