Kuwait seeks U.N. Security Council meeting on Gaza violence: diplomats

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Kuwait has requested a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday to discuss continuing violence along the Gaza-Israel border, diplomats said on Monday.

The death toll in Gaza from Israeli live fire reached 52 on Monday, the highest level in a single day since a series of such protests demanding the right to return to ancestral homes in Israel began on March 30.
