Israeli aircraft strike Islamic Jihad position in Gaza: residents

GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli aircraft struck a position belonging to the Islamic Jihad militant group in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday after Palestinian militants fired mortar bombs into Israel, residents said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties. An Israeli military spokeswoman declined comment on the report.
