U.S. condemns attack in Jerusalem that left two Israelis dead

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States said it condemned the shooting spree in Jerusalem on Sunday that killed a pedestrian and police officer near Israel’s national police headquarters.

“The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack that took place today in Jerusalem,” U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said in a statement.
