BOJ has ample tools for smooth exit: deputy governor nominee Amamiya

TOKYO (Reuters) - Bank of Japan deputy governor nominee Masayoshi Amamiya said on Wednesday that the central bank has ample tools to engineer a smooth exit from its monetary stimulus when the appropriate time comes.

Amamiya told a confirmation hearing in parliament’s upper house that how and in what combination the BOJ will use its policy tools will depend on economic and price conditions at the time.
