BOJ cuts economic view for all of Japan's nine regions

TOKYO (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan cut its economic assessment for all of the country’s nine regions in a quarterly report released on Thursday, underscoring the broadening fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

“All of the regions saw their economy weakening or under strong downward pressure due to the coronavirus outbreak,” the BOJ said in the report, issued after a meeting of the central bank’s regional branch managers.
