Severe drought in Germany hampers K+S's potash production

BERLIN (Reuters) - Severe drought is hampering potash production at K+S’s Werra mine network in central Germany, the company said on Monday.

“The Wintershall site was shut down this morning and will not be able to start production again until further notice”, the miner added in its statement.

It said while the Hattorf site was also at risk of being shut down, the Unterbreizbach site could continue producing.
