Kathy Bates to return to "The Office"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kathy Bates is returning to U.S. network NBC’s “The Office.”

The actress announced at the Television Critics Assn. press tour Thursday that she will be appearing in a “couple more” episodes this spring.

Bates, who can be seen in the upcoming legal drama “Harry’s Law” from David E. Kelley, has guest starred in a handful of episodes on the veteran comedy. In season five and six she appeared as Jo Bennett, the southern CEO of Sabre, a company that buys Dunder Mifflin. Jo is also a pilot and author whose Harlequin Great Danes are never far away from her.

Filming for “Harry’s Law,” premiering Monday at 10 p.m. on NBC, finished Wednesday.
