South Korean defense minister resigns: official

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korean Defence Minister Kim Tae-young resigned on Thursday in the wake of criticism of the country’s response to an attack by North Korea.

The presidential Blue House confirmed the resignation had been accepted.
