Blasts heard in central Tripoli

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - At least two powerful blasts were heard in central Tripoli early on Monday evening, a Reuters correspondent in the Libyan capital said.

Aircraft could be heard overhead at the time of the explosions. NATO has been bombing targets of leader Muammar Gaddafi’s government since March. Air strikes during daylight hours are relatively rare.
