Rebels head back to strategic east Libya town

BENGHAZI-AJDABIYAH ROAD, Libya (Reuters) - A Reuters correspondent saw rebels in several 4x4 pick-up trucks mounted with machine guns heading in the direction of the east Libyan town of Ajdabiyah on Sunday after Western air strikes.

The strikes, launched after a U.N. resolution authorized military action, destroyed dozens of military vehicles of forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi. A Reuters correspondent saw at least five corpses on the ground near the devastated vehicles, including one corpse in the back of a burned out ambulance.
