Mexico rebukes Venezuela's Supreme Court for 'attack on democracy'

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico is deeply worried by the Venezuelan Supreme Court’s move to weaken the South American country’s legislative body known as the National Assembly, the foreign ministry said on Thursday, calling it an attack on democracy and the separation of powers.

In a statement, Mexico’s foreign ministry pledged to work with the Venezuelan government and the people of the South American country to “re-establish democratic order.”
