ALEPPO, Syria (Reuters) - A convoy of buses and other vehicles bringing people out of eastern Aleppo was turned back in the direction of the besieged rebel enclave on Friday as the evacuation ground to a halt, a Reuters witness said.

The vehicles remained stationary on a bridge at the Ramousah road junction. The vehicles included flatbed trucks packed with people exposed to the bitterly cold temperatures.
