Russian Defence Ministry denies Russian soldiers died in Syria

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia’s Defence Ministry denied on Tuesday that Russian soldiers had died recently in Syria, in comments carried by Russian news agencies.

“In relation to reports appearing in foreign media about the alleged deaths in Syria of Russian soldiers, we assert: there have been no casualties among soldiers from Russia’s armed forces in Syria,” the Defence Ministry said, according to the news agency TASS.
