China says hopes Kim's visit deepens bilateral relations

BEIJING (Reuters) - China on Tuesday said it hoped a visit by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un can help deepen bilateral relations and promote regional peace and stability.

Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang made the comments at a regular briefing.

Kim is in China for a two-day visit this week, his third this year, after a historic summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Singapore last week.
