O'Donnell nabs lead role in "NCIS" spin-off

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Chris O’Donnell has signed his deal to star in CBS’ “NCIS” spin-off, which centers on a team of naval investigators.

O’Donnell will play Callen, the troubled, enigmatic lead agent whose natural talent for undercover work is legend. He joins LL Cool J, Louise Lombard, Peter Cambor and Daniela Ruah in the show, which will air later this season as a two-part episode of “NCIS.”

O’Donnell’s recent film credits include “Max Payne” and “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.” He played Dr. Finn Dandridge on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
