Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 strikes off Papua New Guinea: USGS

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck of Papua New Guinea in the southwest Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the quake, which struck at a depth of 52 km (32 miles) about 97 km (60 miles) south of the town of Rabaul.
