Poland says EU's concerns over rule of law are groundless

WARSAW (Reuters) - The European Commission’s view that rule of law is threatened in Poland is groundless, the foreign ministry said on Thursday, a day after a senior Commission official said there was a serious issue with the independence of Poland’s highest court.
