HOUSTON (Reuters) - A planned overhaul of the gasoline-producing unit at Royal Dutch Shell Plc’s 227,586-barrel-per-day (bpd) Convent, Louisiana, refinery was fully under way on Tuesday, said sources familiar with plant operations.

Shell began shutting the 92,000-bpd-gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) last Wednesday for up to three months of work, the sources said. The company also shut a diesel hydrotreater at the refinery.
