Russia central bank says food price inflation may rise in coming months

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Annual food price inflation in Russia may rise slightly in the coming months, but a quickening of overall inflation is not expected, the Russian central bank said on Friday.

The bank noted in a monthly report on consumer prices that inflation fell to 4.1 percent in April and that moderately tight monetary policy would keep inflation close to the central bank’s target level of 4 percent.
