Global steel output rose 4.4 percent year-on-year in September

LONDON, (Reuters) - Global crude steel production rose 4.4 percent to 152 million tonnes

in September from the same month a year ago, figures from the World Steel Association showed on Wednesday.

Crude steel output from China, the world’s top producer and consumer of the alloy, rose to 80.8 million tonnes, up 7.5 percent from September 2017.
