Imelda weakens into open wave: NHC

(Reuters) - Imelda has weakened into an open wave and flash flood watches were in effect for parts of eastern Texas and western Louisiana, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Thursday.

The remnants of Imelda were located about 130 miles (210 km) north northwest of Houston, Texas with maximum sustained winds of 15 miles per hour (30 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
