NEW YORK (Reuters) - The number of U.S. Gulf oil and gas production platforms with evacuated personnel after Hurricane Harvey dropped to 14, or 1.97 percent of the total, the federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said on Monday.
The figure of evacuated platforms was down from 30 on Sunday, the data showed.
Still, BSEE said the total of U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil production closed increased to roughly 6.94 percent, or 121,484 barrels per day (bpd), from 5.5 percent on Sunday.
BSEE did not explain why the amount of closed production increased.
