Tropical Depression Eight forms over Eastern Atlantic: U.S. NHC

(Reuters) - Tropical Depression Eight has formed in the Eastern Atlantic and is forecast to become a tropical storm on Wednesday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

The depression is located about 585 miles (940 km) west north west of Cape Verde Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 km/h), the NHC said on Tuesday.
