GENEVA (Reuters) - China is appealing a ruling by a World Trade Organization dispute panel upholding key parts of a U.S. complaint against Beijing’s limits on imported films, books and audio-visual material, a Chinese official said on Tuesday.
“China is appealing the panel ruling,” an official at China’s WTO mission told Reuters in answer to an enquiry.
The WTO has canceled a session of its dispute settlement body scheduled for 1300 GMT (9 a.m. EDT), at which the sole item on the agenda was the adoption of the panel report, a WTO spokesman said. (Reporting by Jonathan Lynn; Editing by Stephanie Nebehay)
