Death toll rises to 265 in failed Turkey coup: official

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - The death toll from Turkey’s failed coup, where a military faction took control of tanks, helicopters in an attempt to overthrow the government, rose to 265, a Turkish official said on Saturday.

The toll included 161 mostly civilians and police officers, and 104 coup supporters, the official said.
