Ukraine says interrogated 10 crew members of detained Russian tanker

KIEV (Reuters) - Ukraine has interrogated ten crew members of a detained Russian tanker as witnesses, the spokesman of the general prosecutor’s said by phone on Thursday. Asked whether the crew members would be released, he declined to comment.

Ukraine said earlier it had detained a tanker for its alleged involvement in the seizure of three Ukrainian vessels by Russia in November, and Moscow threatened consequences if Russian citizens were “taken hostage”.
