LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC is scrapping J.J. Abrams’ spy series “Undercovers,” which broke the mold by casting two black leads as the show’s main characters.
But middling reviews and declining ratings made the show increasingly destined for the chopping block. Wednesday night’s airing delivered only 5.8 million viewers. Three more episodes will air in the coming weeks.
Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw star as married Malibu caterers who reluctantly dive back into the spy game they turned their backs on five years before.
