Mnuchin says he will not advocate for a weak dollar near-term

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A stable U.S. dollar is important, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Wednesday, adding that he will not advocate for a weak dollar near-term.

Over a long period of time, a strong dollar is in interest of the United States, Mnuchin told CNBC in an interview.
