Trump says he could close border with Mexico to trade

LAKE OKEECHOBEE, Fla. (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday he could close the border with Mexico to trade if Mexico did not stop migrant caravans from reaching the United States and that he would keep the border closed for a long time.

Asked if he would close the Mexican border to all trade, Trump told reporters: “It could be to all trade.”

“We’ll keep it closed for a long time. I’m not playing games. Mexico has to stop it,” he added.
