White House rejects bipartisan group of senators' immigration plan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Thursday said it opposes a bipartisan compromise measure backed by a group of Senators led by moderate Republican Susan Collins and being considers in the chamber on Thursday.

Advisors to U.S. President Donald Trump would recommend that he veto any immigration bill that passes Congress if it includes their bipartisan amendment, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a statement.
