Two lawsuits challenge Trump transgender military service ban

(Reuters) - Two lawsuits were filed on Monday challenging U.S. President Donald Trump’s ban on trangender people serving in the U.S. military.

One lawsuit was filed in Baltimore federal court by the American Civil Liberties Union. The second lawsuit was filed in Seattle federal court by Lambda Legal and OutServe-SLDN.

Both lawsuits say the ban violates U.S. constitutional guarantees of equal protection and due process under the Fifth Amendment.
