WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump will host Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos this month to discuss the implementation of Bogota’s peace accord as well as efforts to counter “democratic backsliding in Venezuela,” according to the White House.

The two leaders, who will meet May 18 at the White House, will also discuss security issues as well as efforts to fight narcotics and organized crime, the White House said in a statement on Thursday.
