WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives will likely attempt on March 26 to override President Donald Trump’s expected veto of a border emergency resolution, a House Democratic leadership aide said on Thursday.
The aide spoke after the U.S. Senate on Thursday voted on a bipartisan basis to end Trump’s emergency declaration at the southern border. The House had already passed the measure, and the president has vowed a veto.
