Sigourney Weaver the queen in horror-comedy Vamps

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Sigourney Weaver, who fought a monster queen in “Aliens,” will now act as a vampire queen in “Vamps.”

The romantic horror-comedy also marks a “Clueless” reunion between director Amy Heckerling and actress Alicia Silverstone.

The modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Silverstone, Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.

Weaver, still in theaters with “Avatar,” will play Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night. A late April start is being eyed.
