Brazil nominates Colombia's Ocampo for World Bank-sources

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Brazil has nominated former Colombian finance minister Jose Antonio Ocampo to head the World Bank, two sources with knowledge of the decision said on Friday.

Colombia said on Thursday it was focusing on a bid for the presidency of the International Labor Organization, where it had a greater chance of success, but Brazil went ahead with the nomination with the backing of the Dominican Republic.
