U.S. to sell fewest 1-month bills in two months

NEW YORK, Sept 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury Department said on Monday it will sell $45 billion in 1-month bills on Tuesday, which is the smallest weekly amount of this debt maturity offered at an auction since July 17.

Last week, it auctioned $55 billion of one-month T-bills at an interest rate of 1.970 percent, which was the highest rate since June 10, 2008. (Reporting by Richard Leong;)
