TREASURIES-U.S. yields pare fall after report on Trump adviser Bannon

NEW YORK, Aug 18 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury yields turned flat on Friday, paring an earlier fall following a report on the Axios website that a decision from White House chief of staff John Kelly is imminent on whether chief strategist Steve Bannon will keep his job.

At 12:04 p.m. (1904 GMT), the yield on 10-year Treasury notes was 2.194 percent, down marginally from Thursday’s close. It fell to a near seven-week low earlier Friday at 2.162 percent, according to Reuters data.
