Ford to pay $10 mln to settle EEOC sex and race harassment allegations

Ford Motor Co has agreed to pay as much as $10.2 million to resolve the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s allegations that female and black employees were harassed at two Chicago-area facilities, the agency has announced.

The EEOC said on Tuesday that workers at Ford’s Chicago Assembly Plant and Chicago Stamping Plant suffered sex and race harassment. The agency also claimed that Ford retaliated against employees who complained about harassment or discrimination.
