Labor Dept asks review board for Google pay information

The U.S. Labor Department has asked an administrative appeals panel to require Google Inc to turn over all the data sought as part of its probe into gender-based pay disparities at the technology giant.

In an appeal filed with the Administrative Review Board on Wednesday, the department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs argued that Administrative Law Judge Steven Berlin improperly applied a probable cause standard. Berlin in July rejected parts of the information request, saying OFCCP failed to target compensation policies that caused pay disparities.
