Former NLRB compliance officer admits to stealing $400,000 from agency

A former National Labor Relations Board compliance officer in Los Angeles pleaded guilty on Monday to stealing more than $400,000 from the agency, federal prosecutors announced.

Hector Martinez, 53, admitted to diverting money from backpay awards that employers paid under unfair labor practice judgments and settlements, which resulted in aggrieved workers getting less than or none of what they were owed, the U.S. attorney’s office for the District of Columbia said in a press release.
