Fed hasn't ditched "extended period" phrase-Bullard

NEW YORK, April 15 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve has not ditched its “extended period” promise to keep rates exceptionally low, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard told Fox Business News on Thursday.

However, Bullard also said the U.S. central bank does not want to send a signal about a specific date for monetary action.

He added that there could be more removal of emergency Fed measures as time goes by.
