WASHINGTON, Nov 17 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate’s timing for votes on President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judy Shelton to join the Federal Reserve is now uncertain, No. 2 Senate Republican John Thune told reporters on Tuesday.
The Senate had been scheduled to cast votes on Tuesday but some senators cannot be in the Senate due to coronavirus concerns, Thune noted adding, “With the absences now, we have some attendance issues, so it’s a little bit fluid, I’d say at the moment.”
