PARIS, Nov 12 (Reuters) - French seeds group Vilmorin (VILM.PA) said on Wednesday it had halted exclusive talks with Plan SAS over the sale of its Oxadis home garden activities and was now evaluating alternatives.
It said that plans to sell the British company Suttons are ongoing and it maintained its objective to finalise the sale, if possible, by the end of December 2008.
The firm reported a 5.1 percent like-for-like increase in first-quarter sales to 116 million euros ($146.4 million) and maintained its full-year outlook.
Vilmorin shares closed 1.95 percent lower at 73.49 euros, after a 31.24 percent decline this year. Plan SAS is another French horticulture firm with roots going back to 1920. (Reporting by Marcel Michelson; editing by Simon Jessop)
