* R. Todd Joyce named CFO, effective immediately
* Replaces Mark Durand who left for personal reasons
CHICAGO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc WPI.N said its chief financial officer and senior vice president Mark Durand has left the company for personal reasons and will be replaced by R. Todd Joyce.
The change will be effective immediately.
On July 27, 2009, Watson disclosed Durand’s leave of absence, which he had taken for health reasons, and named Joyce acting principal financial officer.
Joyce joined Watson in 1997 as corporate controller, and was named vice president, corporate controller and treasurer in 2001. From October 2006 to November 2007, Joyce served as interim principal financial officer.
He joined Watson from ICN Pharmaceuticals where he served as vice president of tax from 1992 to 1996, and vice president of tax and finance from 1996 to 1997.
Prior to ICN, Joyce served as a certified public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse. (Reporting by Debra Sherman, editing by Dave Zimmerman)
