Wyeth names Joseph Mahady president of Wyeth Pharma

CHICAGO, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Wyeth WYE.N, which recently named Bernard Poussot as the new chief executive starting Jan. 1, 2008, on Friday announced a new management team, naming Joseph Mahady president of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and senior vice president of Wyeth.

Mahady has been with the drugmaker since 1979, holding various positions. His new position will be effective Jan. 1, 2008.

Wyeth also named Richard DeLuca president, Fort Dodge Animal Health and Cavan Redmond as president, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare.

Wyeth CEO Bob Essner is retiring.
