Xcel Energy plans to shut remaining two coal plants in upper Midwest by 2030

May 20 (Reuters) - Xcel Energy Inc said on Monday it planned to shut its remaining two coal plants in the upper Midwest a decade earlier than scheduled, as it aims to become a producer of clean energy.

The company said it plans to close its final coal plant in the region by 2030. (Reporting by Debroop Roy in Bengaluru; Editing by Anil D’Silva)
