The new smartphone will integrate KaratGold’s native currency, KaratGold Coin (KBC), to provide an extremely secure experience. The company has also announced the official launch of its software, K-Merchant, to allow vendors to easily accept payments in cryptocurrency.

Germany — Karatbars International GmbH, developer of KaratGold, have announced the official release of their new product suite including IMpulse K1, a blockchain-enabled smartphone, and K-Merchant, an innovative online marketplace software that allows vendors to accept cryptocurrency with a single scan.

KaratGold has been featured in leading media for its sophisticated gold-based ecosystem of cross-border payment solutions and products. These products include KaratBit Exchange (exchange), IMpulse K1 (smartphone), K-Merchant (software), KaratPay (system), KaratNet (payment processing), CashGold and physical ATMs. At the core of these products is the KaratGoldCoin, the company’s native token that powers the ecosystem.

The release of the IMpulse K1 is important as it is the first smartphone to pioneer VoBP (Voice-over-Blockchain Protocol) that will let users drive a decentralized peer-to-peer network to securely transmit various media forms with end-to-end encryption. User data is stored on IPFS (Interplanetary file storage) that gives access remotely and globally, all while retaining all of the security features of the phone.

K-Merchant will offer a secure payment gateway for vendors and merchants to accept cryptocurrency with a single scan. The software provides an irreversible booking and certification, securely logging the payment and transaction on the blockchain and eliminating any risk of price fluctuations. The process can be completed without costs, which is a major selling point as more merchants look to locate and integrate blockchain software that is convenient and affordable. Being convertible into one of the most valued precious metals, KBC remains highly.

Karatbars Founder and CEO Harald Seiz states, “If we want people to use encryption on a daily basis, we must build attractive, easy-to-use experiences like those people already rely on. We have to adapt the technology to its users, not vice versa.”

The IMpulse K1 Smartphones are available for pre-order and will be delivered to their owners by September 2019. More details and recent news can be found online at https://karatgold.io/.
