ScubaTony has partnered with scuba gear company Aqualung to bring cutting edge equipment to their customers.
January 9, 2019 —
ScubaTony has been providing some of the best scuba diving in Cozumel, Mexico for 15 years. At the beginning of ScubaTony, they found a niche market, offering boutique dive services to divers that wanted a more personal dive experience. They closed the gap in quality service that is typically provided in the popular Caribbean dive destination and set a new standard for dive services in Cozumel.
The majority of divers in Cozumel dive with large dive operations that have eight or more divers on a single boat. ScubaTony offers small group dive trips and never sends a trip out with more than six divers on a boat. This type of service gives divers a more personal feel.
Over the last fifteen years, more small dive operations have popped up and started offering a similar type of service, so ScubaTony looked for new and creative ways to stay above the competition. One of those ways is to provide better rental equipment to their guests. Now, ScubaTony offers new Aqualung weight integrated buoyancy control devices (BCDs), regulators, wetsuits and dive computers to their divers. They have received a lot of positive feedback about the rental gear.
Owner Adam Duffy states, “When I got involved with ScubaTony, we had some older BCDs provided by a local company that sold and serviced their unique brand of scuba equipment on the island. Our goal is to offer the best diving in Cozumel, so a partnership with a well-recognized scuba brand like Aqualung helps us instill a little more confidence in our divers that rent gear and gives us one more competitive edge that we are looking for to be the best. We have a system in place to keep all of our rental gear new and fresh”.
There are a lot of dive operations in Cozumel. Tourists looking for Cozumel scuba diving operations have so many things to consider. ScubaTony should be on their radar when trying to pick one.
